I open my hardcore dictionary, I know it all:
the concepts, the phrases, the rules... or there's no rules at all?
I hear them everyday from the mouth of my best friends
starts to seem some kind of religion

You follow it straight 'cos you don't want to betray
the faith your friends have in you, still you're afraid
of misinterpretation if you lived your life by heart
so you stick to this book and you follow line by line

Hardcore is my life

I open that book again; there's lots of wisdom inside
so many positive and clever things, integrity aside,
but we are six billion people in this world
it simply cannot be written for us all

It's not a prayer and it should never be
a set of rule 'cos personality's the key
individual interpretation - a choice of my own;
a natural progression of my personal philosophy
